Prof. Nance is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public and International Affairs at North Carolina State University and co-director of the Energy & Security Initiative. His research focuses generally on formal and informal means of global governance and lies at the intersection of international organization, international law, and international and comparative political economy. His research has been published recently in Review of International Studies, Global Governance, and the Journal of International Criminal Justice. He co-edited of Maritime Piracy and the Construction of Global Governance, (Routledge 2012). His current work includes projects on the development of international anti-money laundering standards, questions of cooperation and conflict in a changing global energy supply chain, and the use of experimentalist mechanisms in global governance.
